iCan Bike Gwinnett - Volunteer Information

Volunesia (Voh-li-NEE-zhah) noun. that moment you forget you’re volunteering to change the lives of others, because they end up changing yours.

iCan Bike Gwinnett WILL give you volunesia. We promise! And there are several ways to do it, depending on your interests, abilities, and how much time you have to offer. We have something for everyone.

OPTION #1: be a “spotter”

Be a spotter for the same rider for each of the 5 days (July 15 - 19) at George Pierce Park, and experience the thrill of giving the gift of riding a bike! Sign up here!

Just 75 invigorating minutes per day… it may be the most rewarding exercise and emotional experience you’ve ever had.

  • At least 15 years old (unless accompanied by an adult)

  • Able to attend 90 minutes at the same time each of the 5 days of camp (15 minutes of pre-session meeting/training)

  • Able to provide physical, emotional and motivational support to assigned rider

  • Able and willing to get some exercise (light jogging/running) for a great cause

OPTION #2

We have one real philosophy when it comes to volunteers: If you want to help, we’ll find a way to make it happen. If spotting a camper isn’t a good fit, here are some other people we’d love to have on our team:

  • Amateur (or professional!) photographer - We’d love to get some great pictures from our celebration on the last day

  • Graphic designer / artist - We can use your help with signage

  • Social butterfly - Join us to meet and greet our campers, sign them in, or hand out waters and snacks

If any of these interest you, or if you have a skill we haven’t mentioned, email stacey@guideeachother.org.
